Movie Review: All Saints Christmas
Subtitle: “When Family, Romance, and Christmas Drama Collide in the Most Heartwarming (and Hilarious) Way!”
“All Saints Christmas” is the Hallmark movie that proves Christmas isn’t just about decorating trees—it’s about awkward family reunions, pretending you haven’t been avoiding everyone, and accidentally rekindling romance just in time for the holidays. Oh, and let’s not forget about way too many Christmas carols and a healthy dose of festive chaos that only a Hallmark holiday movie could provide in one of the quirkiest Christmas movies.
The plot follows Lisette (played by LeToya Luckett), a successful jazz singer who heads home for Christmas after way too many years avoiding her family’s overwhelming holiday spirit. She’s not just coming back for the Christmas cookies and mistletoe—she’s trying to deal with some family drama and maybe find a way to reconnect with her ex (played by the charming Keith Powers), who just so happens to be way too perfect for this movie’s plot. Oh, and did I mention her family is way too involved in her love life? Yeah, that’s a thing too.
The humor in this movie is everything. From the entirely too festive family, who insists on holding the most elaborate Christmas Eve dinner to the "Oh no, we didn’t mean to get you involved in a romantic drama" moments, there’s more than enough awkwardness to make your own family feel like holiday amateurs. Watching Lisette awkwardly balance her career, family expectations, and unresolved feelings for her ex is like watching a cat trying to climb a Christmas tree—clumsy, endearing, and slightly hilarious. Every moment of “I’m not here for the romance” gets turned upside down by the unavoidable Christmas magic that only Hallmark can deliver.
And, of course, there’s the romance. Lisette and her ex’s chemistry is off-the-charts predictable, but it’s a Hallmark movie, so that’s exactly what we need! It’s slow-burn, filled with heartfelt glances, awkward “we’re not falling back in love” moments, and way too many accidental touches in the middle of holiday chaos. At one point, there’s an entire family dinner where Lisette tries to keep things together while everyone else is basically cheering them on from the sidelines—because when in doubt, family knows exactly who should be together, right?
The town itself is utterly charming—snow-covered streets, twinkling lights everywhere, and a tree that looks like it was plucked from Santa’s workshop just what you'd expect from Christmas movies. You know the drill—everyone knows everyone, and everyone knows way too much about everyone else’s romantic history. There’s also a Christmas Eve concert (naturally), because no Hallmark movie is complete without a musical number that makes you feel like you’re starring in your very own holiday movie. It’s predictable, but somehow it still makes your heart swell with festive joy.
The grand finale, of course, involves everything coming together in the most heartwarming and slightly cheesy way. There’s a dramatic confession of love under the twinkling lights of a very over-decorated Christmas tree, a lot of hugs, and probably a snowstorm for that perfect timing Hallmark loves. Lisette and her ex find their way back to each other, and there’s a holiday kiss that’s more satisfying than your first bite of Christmas dessert.
Love Christmas movies? “All Saints Christmas” is the perfect combination of romance, family drama, and way too much Christmas magic. It’s heartwarming, funny, and has just the right amount of festive cheer to make you want to dive into your own holiday traditions (even if they’re as chaotic as Lisette’s family dinner). So grab your coziest blanket, your most festive mug of cocoa, and settle in for a Christmas movie that proves love, family, and holiday spirit always win—even if it’s messy. 🎄🎁🎶
