"Journey Back to Christmas: A Time-Traveling Tangle of Tinsel and Tears"

In "Journey Back to Christmas," a charmingly clunky concoction from the ever-prodigious producers of Hallmark holiday movies, we find ourselves whisked away on a merry jaunt through time that asks — nay, demands — that you hang all your disbelief on the highest bough of your Hallmark movie-shaped Christmas tree.

As Hanna grapples with the wonders of Wi-Fi and the mystery of why no one in this decade is using a typewriter, the movie showers us with predictable, yet heartwarming Hallmark tropes. There's a small-town Christmas festival, a heart-to-heart by a conveniently placed fireplace, and even the obligatory snowball fight that ends in a romantic almost-kiss.
