Love in the Sun
Where Romance is as Warm as the Weather and Commitment Issues Melt Away Like Ice Cream!"
If you love Hallmark Channel movies that feature beachside romance, unexpected reunions, and just enough soul-searching to make you root for the happy ending, then Love in the Sun is your next feel-good flick. Because in Hallmark movies, nothing forces you to confront your past quite like a surprise trip back home and a conveniently still-single ex-boyfriend.
Alana (Emeraude Toubia) is a successful app developer (because in Hallmark Land, women are either tech geniuses or charming small-town café owners) who’s engaged to a very practical, very wrong fiancé. But when a work trip takes her back to her sunny Florida hometown, she runs into her ex, Kai (Tom Maden), a devastatingly attractive guy who never left their beachy paradise. Naturally, between nostalgic strolls on the sand, adorable paddleboarding scenes, and way too many romantic sunsets, Alana starts questioning whether her picture-perfect city life—and her slightly bland fiancé—are really what she wants. Will she follow her heart, even if it means rewriting her future? Will Kai prove that love, much like sunscreen, only works if you actually commit to it? (You already know the answer.)
While this isn’t one of your typical Hallmark holiday movies (no Christmas lights, but plenty of fairy-tale sunsets and romantic beach bonfires), it still delivers all the Hallmark movies magic: a heroine at a crossroads, an ex-boyfriend who somehow got even hotter, and at least one big epiphany moment set to an uplifting acoustic song.
Final Verdict:
If you love Hallmark Channel movies and believe that sometimes, true love is like a beachfront bungalow—worth holding onto, Love in the Sun is your perfect tropical romance. Just be warned—you may start daydreaming about quitting your job and moving to a beach town just in case love is waiting for you there. ☀️💕🏖️
