My Favorite Wedding—Because Who Needs a Simple Ceremony When You Can Have a Hallmark Movie Wedding?

My Favorite Wedding is the Hallmark Channel movie that gives us the best of both worlds: a complicated wedding plot and the predictability that we know and love from Hallmark movies. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a wedding planner and a fake fiancé get together, this movie is basically a romantic comedy masterclass—with a side of wedding cake, of course.

The story kicks off with Megan, a wedding planner who’s basically the perfect person to have around if you want your wedding to look like something out of a magazine spread. But when her perfect wedding turns into a total disaster (because no Hallmark Channel movie is complete without some pre-wedding drama), she decides she needs a fake fiancé to save face. Enter Jake, the easygoing guy who somehow agrees to pretend to be the love of her life. Naturally, this leads to all sorts of confusion, because if there’s one thing Hallmark movies teach us, it’s that pretend love is basically the best way to fall in love for real.

As the wedding plans go from over-the-top extravagant to totally chaotic (we’re talking about misplaced wedding rings, accidentally crashing rehearsal dinners, and flower girl meltdowns), Megan and Jake start to realize that maybe their fake engagement isn’t so fake after all. There’s romantic tension, adorable moments, and so many last-minute changes to the wedding plan—and all of it is delivered with that Hallmark Channel movie charm we know and love. Oh, and let’s not forget the perfect sunset, the romantic dance at the reception, and of course, the big kiss that somehow feels like it was scripted by Cupid himself.

Is this movie a predictable ride? Absolutely. But that’s what makes it so perfect. In Hallmark movies, love doesn’t have to be complicated (except when it is for about 30 minutes), and weddings are always a chance for everyone to gather, laugh, and fall in love all over again—even if there’s a fake fiancé involved. My Favorite Wedding reminds us that love is messy, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be gorgeous at the same time.

So, if you’re ready for romantic confusion, a not-so-fake fiancé, and a wedding that’s way more dramatic than you expected, then My Favorite Wedding is the Hallmark Channel movie for you. Just don’t forget to pack some tissues—because when that wedding bell rings, you’ll be sobbing... with joy, of course.
