Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime
Subtitle: Time-Travel, True Love, and a To-Do List from Heaven
If you thought Hallmark movies were all about small towns, cookies, and holiday wreaths, think again—Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime cranks things up with angels, reincarnation, and a guy who used to be a thief in 1844 but now solves crime in modern-day Oregon. It’s like Quantum Leap wandered into a bakery from Hallmark holiday movies and decided to stick around for the pie.
Katie Stevens plays a detective who just wants to solve crimes, not discover that her new partner is her centuries-old soulmate who’s under strict heavenly probation. Lachlan Quarmby, meanwhile, spends the movie with the world’s most stressed-out expression—probably because he’s supposed to steer her toward another guy. (Spoiler: this is Hallmark, so we all know how that “assignment” is going to go.)
By the end, you’ll be asking yourself life’s biggest questions: Can true love survive reincarnation? Why do angels sound like middle managers? And does every small-town coffee shop have a secret time-travel portal, or just the ones in Providence Falls?
