Claire (Leah Renee) is a high school biology teacher (because in Hallmark Land, you’re either a teacher, baker, or big-city executive in need of a small-town intervention) who unexpectedly finds herself back on Blue Island, a gorgeous coastal spot she’s determined to help save. Enter Tom (Chris McNally), a devastatingly handsome boat captain who’s all about adventure, spontaneity, and looking effortlessly dreamy in a captain’s hat. But wait—there’s also Claire’s very practical, very wrong ex-boyfriend who suddenly reappears just in time to not be the right choice.

While this isn’t one of your standard Hallmark holiday movies (no Christmas trees, but plenty of charming dockside conversations and wistful ocean gazing), it still delivers all the classic Hallmark movies magic: a small-town setting, a woman at a crossroads, and at least one moment where someone dramatically realizes their feelings just as the tide rolls in.
