Because Who Doesn’t Want to Celebrate Christmas... Two Days Early?

In The Night Before the Night Before Christmas, Hallmark has taken its love for Christmas and somehow stretched it into a movie about celebrating the holiday two days early. And if you think that’s a bit much, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the heartwarming chaos that unfolds, all wrapped up in some jingle bells, a few mistletoe mishaps, and, naturally, a whole lot of family drama. Starring Jennifer Beals, Rick Roberts, and Jordan Prentice, this is the kind of Hallmark holiday movie that you didn’t know you needed, but now can't imagine Christmas without.

The plot revolves around a family who’s had enough of the holiday hustle and bustle and decides that waiting until Christmas Eve is just too much. Enter the idea of celebrating Christmas two days before Christmas, which, to be honest, is either brilliant or completely nuts (we’re still deciding). Jennifer Beals, as the sensible yet secretly festive mother, tries to keep the holiday chaos under control, while Rick Roberts plays the well-meaning but clueless dad who seems to think that Christmas decorations should include everything except a tree. And Jordan Prentice? He’s the quirky, lovable friend who’s just here for the holiday snacks and mischief.

The result is a family comedy that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious, packed with the kind of hijinks that only a Hallmark holiday movie could pull off. From disastrous tree-buying expeditions to Christmas Eve disasters that come two days early, The Night Before the Night Before Christmas serves up just the right mix of slapstick and sentimentality. Plus, you get to witness the miracle of figuring out how to have the perfect holiday with all the wrong timing—and somehow still make it work.

What’s truly magical about this movie (besides the early Christmas spirit) is its ability to take the traditional Hallmark formula of love, laughter, and last-minute holiday heroics, and turn it into something unexpectedly fun and fresh. It’s the kind of movie you’ll watch while sipping on your second cup of eggnog, realizing you’ve just watched a movie that proves Christmas can be celebrated anytime you want, as long as you’ve got a little family (and a lot of holiday spirit).

So, if you're looking to celebrate the holiday two days early with a good laugh and a whole lot of Christmas cheer, then grab your popcorn and dive into this holiday comedy. You’ll be glad you did, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll start celebrating Christmas a little sooner every year.
