Description
It’s time for the annual Santa Summit, in which revelers put on Santa suits and hop around designated locations in town to eat, drink, and be merry. Three best friends decide to go together: Jordin, a recently dumped art teacher looking to cut loose; Ava, a shy woman hoping to run into her crush; and Stella, a Christmas cynic with no interest in the Santa Summit whatsoever. At the start of the night, Jordin meets and bonds with Liam, but doesn’t get his name before getting separated and lost in a sea of Santas. As the night progresses and hijinks ensue, amidst the chaos, celebration, and a sea of Santas, they all find what they’re looking for: Christmas spirit, potential romance, and a strengthened bond of friendship

Movie Review: The Santa Summit
Subtitle: "When Christmas, Way Too Much Holiday Chaos, and Secret Santa Shenanigans Collide in the Most Hilariously Predictable Way."
“The Santa Summit” is Hallmark’s latest attempt to prove that Christmas magic can fix just about anything—even when it involves way too many holiday-themed meetings, way too many secret Santa gifts, and way too many awkward “I’m definitely not falling in love with you” moments. If you’ve ever wondered, “What if a high-powered executive had to attend a Santa-themed retreat and accidentally found herself in the middle of a holiday miracle (and a romance) that she didn’t see coming?”—then this movie is your perfect holiday chaos wrapped up with a bow, a reindeer, and some way-too-perfect mistletoe.
The plot follows Katherine (played by Lyndsy Fonseca, because let’s be honest, she’s perfect for playing the “I’m too busy for Christmas” but secretly loves it character), a high-powered businesswoman who definitely does not want to be anywhere near holiday festivities—especially when it involves a Santa-themed corporate retreat. She’s definitely not a fan of Christmas (and really, who can blame her with way too many deadlines and way too many holiday tasks to finish?), but when she gets sent to a “Santa Summit”—a team-building event that is, of course, way too festive—she’s absolutely dreading the whole thing.
Enter Chris (played by Kris Polaha, a.k.a. Hallmark’s go-to guy for charming, slightly grumpy love interests). Chris is totally into Christmas—so much so that he decides to organize the “Santa Summit” and basically tries to get Katherine to embrace the holiday spirit. Naturally, Katherine is way too skeptical, but Chris is way too charming and way too festive for her to resist. They’re definitely not going to fall for each other, but we all know the drill—they totally are.
The comedy comes from the utter absurdity of this Santa Summit. Picture a corporate retreat that’s way too festive, where everyone is way too obsessed with Christmas traditions, and the “team-building exercises” are about as chaotic as trying to organize a holiday parade when half the floats are missing. Watching Katherine try to keep it together while Santa-themed icebreakers and way too many Christmas cookies are thrown in her face is like watching someone trying to keep their Christmas tree from falling over while the kids are decorating it. It’s utter chaos, and you can’t look away.
The best part? The Secret Santa gift exchange that goes way off the rails. It starts with way too much pressure to get the perfect gift for your assigned person, but the hilarious chaos that follows when everyone gets their presents is the ultimate holiday comedy gold. You’ll be laughing at how each gift somehow goes wrong, whether it’s a too-perfect scarf, a mistakenly personalized mug, or the gift that was definitely not meant for someone else. Watching the exchange spiral out of control is like watching someone try to assemble a Christmas toy without the instructions—completely ridiculous, but also oddly heartwarming.
And then, of course, there’s the romance. Every time Katherine and Chris share a “we’re definitely not into each other” moment, you’ll be grinning because it’s as obvious as the snow falling outside. Whether it’s accidentally sharing too many Christmas secrets under the way-too-perfect mistletoe or having a “we’re definitely not falling in love” moment over way too many eggnog cups, you know they’re headed straight for that “perfect kiss under the Christmas lights” moment. It’s classic Hallmark, and totally adorable.
The grand finale? Predictably perfect. After way too many holiday disasters, romantic misunderstandings, and way too many Christmas miracles, Katherine and Chris finally realize they’ve been in love the whole time. They share the perfect kiss under the twinkling Christmas lights because, let’s be honest, no Hallmark movie is complete without it. The Santa Summit has definitely turned into a Christmas miracle, and everything is perfect—because nothing says “holiday magic” like a corporate retreat turned love story.
“The Santa Summit” is everything you love about Hallmark: way too much holiday spirit, way too many Christmas mishaps, and a romance that’s so obvious it might as well be a Christmas tree. If you enjoy Christmas chaos, romantic misunderstandings, and a movie that proves Christmas is all about embracing the mess, then grab your coziest blanket, a hot cocoa, and get ready for a movie that will make you laugh, swoon, and probably start planning your own holiday retreat with way too many Christmas traditions. 🎄💋🎅
