Everyone in town seems to know each other’s business (especially when it comes to cookie gossip), and the town baker (Grant’s rival, obviously) has a suspiciously smug attitude about his baked goods, which definitely will become relevant at the most chaotic part of the movie.

The grand finale, of course, involves Clara, Grant, and their very questionable batch of cookies making it to the competition’s final round, where the tension is thick and the frosting is thicker. After some last-minute scrambling, the cookies finally come together (through a mixture of Christmas spirit, teamwork, and possibly magic), and Clara’s culinary disaster is miraculously turned into a holiday miracle. And, because this is Hallmark, the cookies probably end up being delicious too. Meanwhile, Clara and Grant share that perfect kiss surrounded by an overly festive backdrop of candy canes and holiday cheer.
